Can workflows be collaborative as well?

In general workflows are pre-defined steps of processes, of achieving an expected (known) outcome. Like generating a Gate Pass or receiving and updating an Expense Reimbursement.

But the world we live in is not so pre-defined. Sometimes, we need to collaborate or recurse to achieve an outcome. Flowdoh had been introducing such features to it capabilities in the past, one good example for this is our “user picker” tool. User picker allows designers to create workflows that are dynamic and recursive to achieve an objective., Example: an approval for “Reply to a query” in a collaborative environment.

Once the challenge of such collaboration is, since everyone is working on the same object (maybe a section of a form) how do we know who acted on this.

So, we introduced, “User logs” component in the form designer. Once you add this user log component, to a form section. It will automatically log who got assigned to this section as a log history, visible to everyone who is collaborating in that section.

Now we are taking this further. We asked what is missing in Flowdoh and you said we need mail merge kind of capability, and further collaborate on the merged document. Yeah!! Like SharePoint. Soon you will be able to achieve this goal with our new collaboration and mail merge module.

At the beginning we will roll out the mail merge feature and eventually the live collaboration. With the introduction of this module, you will be able to use Flowdoh for contract creation kind of work processes.
